Why take Vitamin D3?
Vitamin D is an important nutrient in the body, contributing to the maintenance of normal bones, teeth, muscle function, immune function and normal absorption and utilisation of calcium and phosphorus.
Known as the sunshine vitamin, vitamin D3 is produced when the skin is exposed to ultraviolet B (UVB) light. The normal way to get the required amount of vitamin D is through skin being exposed to the sun, specifically ultra violet B rays. Due to the Northern Hemisphere climate and the nature of our busy lives this can be difficult to achieve for some people.
